         内容简介：Iron-based superconductors have attracted great attention since its discovery in 2008. In this talk, I will present our series of work on the electronic structure and magnetism of these compounds using first-principles simulations. The validity of application of density functional theory in High-Tc materials will be examined, and some implications will be presented.

        报告人简介：曹超，2003年复旦大学物理学学士，2008年美国佛罗里达大学博士，2010年回国任杭州师范大学特聘教授。长期从事第一性原理计算研究，主要研究对象为高温超导材料、强关联体系和纳米输运系统。2008年获得国家优秀自费留学生奖学金；2009年获得美国物理学会APS Nicholas Metropolis Award计算物理学博士论文大奖（每年全球1人，是第二名获得此奖项的华人）。至今在PRL、PRB、APL等国际期刊上发表论文20余篇，共被引用220余次，单篇最高引用130余次。
